History
Little Dunmow is a small historic village details of which are mentioned in the Doomsday Book (1086). The village retains its own distinct identity and is a conservation area with many listed buildings.
The famous Dunmow Flitch Trials originated in Little Dunmow and the original Flitch Chair resides within the historic church which formed part of a much larger Priory established in 1104.
